Product Care & Tips
simple habits, lasting results
Our products are handcrafted with intention — and a little care goes a long way. Here's how to get the most out of every bar, jar, and bottle.
BAR SOAPS
Caring for Your Tallow Bar Soap
Keep It DryThe single most important thing you can do. After each use, place your soap on a well-draining soap lift or dish — away from standing water and direct shower spray. A dry bar between uses can last twice as long. |
Let It CureIf you've bought multiple bars, let the extras cure unwrapped in a cool, dry place. The longer a cold-process bar cures, the harder and longer-lasting it becomes. Patience makes a better bar. |
Use a Shower PuffGet your shower puff and soap wet, work the soap into the puff, and massage for just a second. The lather is incredible — you'll wonder why you ever used body wash. |
Expect UniquenessEach bar is hand-poured in small batches. Variations in color, swirl pattern, and design are completely normal and part of what makes each bar one-of-a-kind. No two bars are exactly alike. |
On average, each bar lasts 2–3 weeks with daily use. If you can't stop lathering up, we'll take that as a compliment.
BODY BUTTERS & BALMS
Caring for Your Whipped Tallow
Store in a Cool PlaceTallow-based butters and balms are sensitive to heat. Store your jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. If the butter softens or melts, it's still perfectly good — just place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to re-solidify. |
A Little Goes a Long WayOur whipped tallow body butter contains zero water — it's 100% active ingredient. Scoop a small amount (about the size of a dime) and warm it between your palms before applying. It melts into your skin on contact. |
Best After a ShowerFor maximum absorption, apply whipped tallow to slightly damp skin right after showering. Your pores are open and your skin is warm — the tallow absorbs deeper and locks in moisture more effectively. |
Texture Changes Are NormalTemperature changes can cause the texture to shift slightly — this is a natural characteristic of real tallow products with no synthetic stabilizers. The product is still perfectly effective regardless of texture. |
WELLNESS
Caring for Your Magnesium Balms
Apply to Pulse PointsFor the Calming Blend, apply to the bottoms of your feet, wrists, or behind your ears before bed. For the Pain Blend, apply directly to sore muscles, joints, or areas of tension. Massage gently until absorbed. |
Tingling Is NormalA mild tingling or warming sensation when you first apply magnesium balm is completely normal — it means the magnesium is absorbing through your skin. This typically subsides after a few applications as your magnesium levels normalize. |
Consistency Is KeyTransdermal magnesium works best with regular, daily use. Make it part of your nightly routine — apply the Calming Blend to the bottoms of your feet before bed for better sleep, or keep the stick in your gym bag for post-workout recovery with the Pain Blend. Results build over time. |

HOME APOTHECARY
Using Your Laundry Soap
How Much to UseUse 1–2 tablespoons per load for a standard washing machine. For HE machines, use 1 tablespoon. Our laundry soap is highly concentrated — no water fillers — so a little goes a long way. One jar lasts most families 4–6 weeks. |
Works in All TemperaturesOur laundry soap dissolves and works effectively in both hot and cold water. For best results with cold-water loads, add the soap directly to the drum before adding clothes — this gives it a head start dissolving. |
Pair with Wool Dryer BallsSkip the dryer sheets — they're full of chemicals. Toss 3–4 of our wool dryer balls into the dryer with a few drops of scent oil for naturally soft, static-free laundry. The balls also reduce drying time by up to 25%. |
Safe for Sensitive SkinOur laundry soap is free from synthetic fragrances, dyes, and harsh chemicals. It's safe for babies, kids with sensitive skin, and anyone who wants a cleaner wash without the chemical residue that conventional detergents leave behind. |
MEN'S GROOMING
Caring for Your Grooming Essentials
Beard Oil ApplicationApply 3–5 drops to your palm, rub your hands together, and work through your beard from root to tip. Best applied after a warm shower when your pores and hair follicles are open. Use daily for the softest, healthiest beard. |
Shave Soap TipsWet your shave brush, swirl it on the soap puck for 15–20 seconds to build a rich lather, then apply to your face in circular motions. The tallow base creates a protective, slick surface that reduces razor burn and irritation. |
Safety Razor CareRinse your safety razor thoroughly after each use and store it upright in a dry location. Pat dry with a towel if possible. Replace the blade every 5–7 shaves for the closest, most comfortable shave. A well-maintained razor lasts a lifetime. |

GENERAL TIPS
Good to Know
✓ No synthetic preservatives means our products are best used within 6–12 months of purchase
✓ Always use clean, dry hands when scooping from jars to prevent introducing moisture or bacteria
✓ Store all products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat — especially in summer
✓ Patch test new products on a small area of skin if you have sensitivities — our products are gentle, but everyone's skin is different
✓ Slight color and scent variations between batches are normal and a sign of truly handcrafted, small-batch production
We put intention into every batch. A little care on your end makes that intention last.
